Benefits of Electric Van Leasing
Here are some of the key benefits of leasing an electric van:
Leasing typically requires a lower initial amount compared to buying, making it more affordable to drive a new electric van.
Leasing allows you to upgrade to the latest electric van models every few years, ensuring access to the newest technology and improvements in range and performance.
Leasing an electric van frees up capital that can be used elsewhere in your business, as you’re not tying up large amounts of money in a van purchase.
Electric vans produce zero emissions, helping businesses reduce their carbon footprint and comply with increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
Charging an electric van is typically cheaper than refuelling a diesel or petrol vehicle, reducing ongoing operational expenses.
Part Exchange Your Old Van
Need to sell your old van? Part-exchanging eliminates the hassle of selling your old vehicle privately and dealing with potential buyers. Currently, we're one of the very few brokers that will accept a part exchange!
Electric Van FAQs
Below, we've answered some frequently asked questions you might have when leasing a new electric van.
How far can an electric van travel on a single charge?
The range of an electric van varies by model, but most can travel between 100 to 200 miles on a full charge. Newer models are improving with some offering ranges over 250 miles.
Where can I charge an electric van?
Charging an electric van at home is convenient, especially overnight, using a standard or dedicated EV charger, which ensures the van is ready for the next day. Many businesses also install workplace charging stations, allowing employees to charge while they work. Public charging infrastructure is rapidly expanding, with thousands of charging points available in most regions. Some of these public chargers are fast or ultra-fast, allowing for quick top-ups during the day.
What is the charging time for an electric van?
The time it takes to charge an electric van depends on n factors such as the type of charger and the van's battery size. Using a standard home charger it typically takes around 6 to 8 hours for a full charge, making overnight charging convenient. Fast chargers (DC) can significantly reduce this time, charging the electric van to 80% in around 30 to 60 minutes.
What are the most popular electric van models?
Several electric van models have gained popularity due to their performance, range, and reliability. The Nissan Townstar EV is widely used for its practicality and affordability, offering a solid range and compact size ideal for urban deliveries. The Ford E-Transit is another desirable electric van, boasting an impressive range and payload capacity, perfect for larger fleets. Additionally, the Citroen e-Berlingo and Peugeot e-Expert are popular among small and medium-sized businesses looking for efficient electric solutions.
How long does it take to deliver the electric van?
If the electric van you’re considering is in stock, it's typically available for delivery within 2-4 weeks (approx.) from order. The statutory cooling off period stated by the finance company (usually 14 working days) must expire before delivery of a vehicle can happen. As well, delivery dates are subject to change by the manufacturer and on occasion, delays may occur. If the van you want isn’t in stock it will be a factory order so these delivery times can vary but we’ll keep you updated of the van’s progress regularly. We need all of the necessary documentation in place prior to delivery of a vehicle.
